I was born in Angola, a former Portuguese colony.
I was razed in Lisbon, the city of my family, where I attended the Lisbon University to earn my degree on Tourism.
Working as a tourist guide has been my passion, in order to keep a family tradition that begun with my grand mother.
I work all over the country, although Lisbon and its surroundings are my favourites. I’m an expert on walking and gourmet tours and love
to collect traditional recipes.
My major markets are from North America, UK, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
I’m fluent in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, of course.
My favourite museum in Lisbon is the Glazed Tile Museum (Museu do Azulejo).
Hobbies: family, eating, cooking, reading, jogging.
I was born in Lisbon, where I grew up.
I took my graduation in the Lisbon Tourism University, twenty five years ago.
I’ve been working with people from different countries, especially USA, Canada, U.K, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain and Brazil.
I speak fluently Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and I have some knowledge of Italian and Japanese.
My experience is involved not only with Portuguese travel agencies but also international companies, such as British Airways Holydays, McLaren and foreign Ministers.
Since 2005 I’ve been recommended by Rick Steves as a local guide in Lisbon and Sintra, mainly for private walking tours.
Hobbies: Footing, gardening, art and history museums.
My name is Rosa, I’m from Lisbon and it was in this city it that I got my degree in Tourism.
I’ve started my career about twenty years ago, working as a trip leader, accompanied travellers trough Europe, Brazil, Mexico and Turkey.
I developed a considerable experience on organising and coordinating groups and individual visits.
Nowadays I’m an expert in Lisbon and its surroundings.
I work with different companies and people from all over the world.
I’m fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and I have some knowledge in French.
Hobbies: Reading, visiting monuments and museums, travelling and painting (oil on canvas).
Since I can remember, I wished to study languages, to enable me to contact with foreigners. After some other professional experiences - teacher and
secretary - I finally got the chance of doing what I studied for - to become a licensed tourist guide in Portugal, my country. Many years have
passed and it is still (always) a passion!
What kind of tours or what nationality do I prefer? Honestly, I can not say!! One of the good things of my profession is to get to know so many different people and I like to be flexible to adapt myself to the different cultures and needs.
Yet, I dare to share with you one of the compliments I had the chance to receive and which really touched me and helps me to keep improving: 'Graça, please, never change!!' I hope to have the opportunity of guiding you in our beautiful, bright capital- Lisbon, as well as in our so very special surroundings. Portugal is a charming country.
Don't miss it!!!
